- Gayla Morayne Bobbish, 58, of Kensington, Maryland formerly of Perry County, IL, passed away at 4:18 A.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Springs, MD.
Gayla had been an accountant and payroll clerk for a confectionery company and had owned Darling Dogs and Kozy Kittie Pet Setting Service.
She was a member of the Protection of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Royalton..
She was born June 14, 1957 in Perry County, IL the daughter of Bob Robertson and Susan Bobbish.
She is survived by a sister- Joyce Poole of Du Quoin, niece- Donna Cockrum and great niece and nephew - John (Lexi) Melvin and great great nieces and nephews - Adrian, John IV and Avery, great niece and nephew - Jami (Ryan) Melvin and their son Aiden, great niece and nephew - Trish (Mike) Melvin and great great nieces and nephews - Maeleigh, Mya, Mike Jr., Monica and Mason, nephew - Mike (Heather) Feldscher and great niece - Stephanie Feldscher and her children- Emily, Layla and one on the way in July, great nieces and nephews- Mike Jr., Tara, Brett and Brittany, foster father- Milton Russell of Knoxville, TN, foster sister- Vickie (Ron) Russell of Long Beach, CA and their son - Alex.
She was preceded in death by her mother- Susan Bobbish, foster mom- Pat Russell, foster brother- James Sparks and her longtime companion of 29 years James Richard Anderson.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Fr. Frederick Janecek officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
A prayer services will be at 7:30 P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Protection of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Cemetery at Royalton.
