After his military service, Charles had a successful 40-year career in the San Antonio automotive business as a mechanic, salesman, manager and part-owner until he retired from Red McCombs Ford. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Alma Bobbish; son and daughter-in-law, Charles E. and Karen Bobbish, Burlington, MA; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Chris Preston, San Antonio, TX; beloved grandchildren, Charles G. Mr. Bobbish was a 32nd degree Knight of the Texas Lodge 8, Grand Order of Masons, an avid hunter, fisherman and pilot and since his retirement, a tireless volunteer for the shuttle service at the Audie L. Murphy Veterans Hospital, for which he was honored with national recognition by the Department of Veterans Affairs. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched, but he is now at peace with his parents and 12 brothers and sisters, including his beloved brother, Pete.
