      Laura Lee Tester, 92, of West Friendship, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at her daughter's home in Sykesville.

      Born May 31, 1920, in Ellicott City, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Dora Johnson Warfield. She was the wife of Baxter Tester, who died in 1953.

      She enjoyed being with her family, gardening, and canning and freezing foods. She also liked working jigsaw puzzles and watching Orioles baseball games.

      She worked at Spring Grove Hospital Center and retired from Springfield Hospital Center after 35 years.

      Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Theresa and George Zepp, of Sykesville; grandchildren Dean Allen Zepp and wife Pamela, of New Windsor, David Lee Zepp and wife Donna, of Westminster, and Donna Marie Somers and friend Henry Mays, of Jefferson; great-grandchildren Patrick, Jenny, Amanda, Trisha and David Lee Jr.; great-great-grandchildren Hannah and Kaleb; sisters Mazie Piccolo and husband Ralph, of Essex, Nannie Arnold and longtime friend Bob Bowman, of Mount Airy, and Ada Bohn, of Sykesville; and several nieces and nephews.

      She was predeceased by a brother, William A. Warfield Jr., in 1937; and asister, Margaret W. Fox, in November 2012.
