  https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/153957081/charles-amand-surette Charles Armand Surette passed away at home in Middle West Pubnico on Sunday morning, February 5th at the age of 77, after an illness of seven years. The deceased was the son of the late Zacharie Surette, native of Ste-Anne-du-Ruisseau. Like most of the men his age in the village, he fished for most of his life and always lived in Pubnico. But one feat in his life distinguished him from others: for 50 consecutive years, he was one of the most important singers in the church choir, faithfully assisting in all the religious exercises of the church until he became ill seven years ago. And many burials he sang during those fifty years. He leaves to mourn his wife, n?e Agnes d'Entremont; six sons, Damien in East Boston, Wilfred, Emile and Sammy in Chelsea, Abel at home and Stillman currently in Digby, who assisted in the funeral, three daughters, Mrs. Albert d'Entremont (Eva Rose) and Mrs. Stanley Amiro (Augustin) of this parish and Genevieve at home; many grandchildren and one great-grandson. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon with a large audience. Rev. Father Thomas LeBlanc, Priest, officiated.
