  lara B. Maples, 88, of Ocala, FL, passed on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Legacy House, Ocala. She was born in Glenwood, Maryland on December 21, 1925; daughter to the late William Augustus and Mary Elizabeth (Bitner) Gover. She grew up in Howard County, MD and moved to Baltimore in 1945; meeting her soon to be husband Bob and was married in 1948. For many years Clara served as a Manager with Levenson and Klein Furniture, Baltimore, MD. Together they retired to Havana, suburb of Tallahassee, FL in 1989. There they became active with Habitat For Humanity in building the homes. On August 29, 2012 Clara's husband of 64 years, Robert Lee Maples died and Clara moved to Ocala to be near her cousin Mary Taury. She was also preceded in death by her siblings; Pauline Malatt, Ethel Gover, Kenneth Gover and Walter Gover. Clara is survived by her loving son Robert Lee Maples, Jr. of Greenbrae, CA and 5 nephews and many cousins.
